Kailis Jewellery ‘Enigma’ Campaign
As a producer on the Kailis campaign, I played a crucial role in managing a variety of tasks while assisting executive producer Candice Shields. This multifaceted position required a strong focus on organisation, communication, and collaboration to ensure the campaign's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Crew Management: One of my primary responsibilities was overseeing the crew involved in the production. I facilitated clear communication among team members, ensuring that everyone understood their duties and worked cohesively to achieve our creative vision.
Location Scouting: I conducted thorough location scouting to identify the best settings for the campaign. This involved researching and visiting potential sites to evaluate their suitability for the shoot. I assessed factors such as aesthetic appeal, accessibility, and logistical considerations to ensure each location would enhance the overall look and feel of the campaign.
Permit Applications: Securing the necessary permits for our chosen locations was a critical aspect of my role. I navigated the application process, liaising with local authorities and ensuring compliance with regulations. This proactive approach minimised potential disruptions and allowed us to focus on the creative aspects of the shoot.
On-Set Management: During the shoot, I took charge of on-set management, coordinating activities to maintain an efficient workflow. I was responsible for addressing any issues that arose, ensuring that the production stayed on schedule, and facilitating communication with crew. My focus was on creating a positive and productive environment that fostered creativity.
Creating Call Sheets and Schedules: I developed detailed call sheets, run sheets, and schedules for each shoot day. These documents outlined the daily itinerary, including timings for arrivals, set changes, and breaks. My organisational skills were essential in ensuring that everyone was informed and prepared, which contributed to the smooth execution of the campaign.
Diverse Shooting Locations: The shoot spanned three days and involved diverse locations, including a full in-house studio day, a beach setting, and travel to Broome, Western Australia. This required careful logistical planning to manage travel arrangements, equipment transport, and coordination with local teams. My ability to adapt to different environments and maintain organisation was crucial to our success.
